How to take control to influence
If we want to influence people, we have to stop with the blame game and we have to take control over our life circumstances. In Christ Jesus, we can get godly information, energy, and support to do so because we are created to reign in life, in and through Christ Jesus.
How to stop the blame game
To stop the blame game we have to accept our identity and legal status in Christ so that we can be the stewards after God’s heart. As stewards after God’s heart, we know that it’s God’s will for us to reign in life through His abundance of grace and that, based on the gift of righteousness, according to Romans 5:17.
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
So if you continue to blame others or life circumstances for your problems, then you give them the power over your life so that they are the rulers in your life instead of you.
How to control life circumstances
To take control over our lives we have to become aware of our inheritance and legal status in and through Christ Jesus. In Roman 8:16-17 it is written: The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
And in Romans 8:18-21 it is written: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
So to take control over our life circumstances we have to become aware of our sonship and stewardship in Christ Jesus.
How to influence people
To influence people we have to believe that God has blessed us with wisdom, power, and authority to do so. We need wisdom and power to earn the sympathy, trust, and loyalty of others and we need authority to do it according to our legal status.
When we have established a trustworthy relationship with others we can ask them permission to control their life circumstances, in the same way, that we are controlling ours. By doing this we are giving God the space to influence them through us, according to Psalm 67:7 and Hosea 2:19 and Romans 2:4.
God shall bless us and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.
And I shall betroth you unto me forever, yes, I will betroth you unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
So to summarize; we saw that you have to control your life circumstances with the help of God so that you can give God the space to influence others through you.
