I am what I think and say

I am what I think and say

To be sure that you are what you think and say, you have to tune your mind and spoken words on God’s mind and spoken words. By doing this, you give God and His angels space to confirm your identity and legal status in Christ Jesus. So your condition will be aligned to your position, your legal status, in Christ Jesus. In Psalm 103:20-21 it is written: Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure.

You are what you think

In Proverbs 23:7 it is written: For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. And in 2 Corinthians 5:17 it is written: If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new. In 1 Corinthians 15:10 it is also written: But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain. So what is written in God’s word is God’s thoughts and spoken words about us. And as we tune our mind and spoken words on God’s thoughts and spoken words, our condition will be aligned with God’s thoughts and spoken words about us.

The power of the tongue

In proverbs 18:20-21 we can read: A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth, from the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. And in Romans 10:8-10 it is written: The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the word of faith which we preach, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

Think over, believe, speak and receive

All that we feel, do and receive are fruits of the words that we parrot God with faith and passion. So our condition will be aligned to our position in Christ if we parrot God with faith and passion. In John 15:7-8 it is written: If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this, My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you will be My disciples. And in Mark 11:23-24 it is written: For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

You already are, you already have, so speak it

In Christ Jesus, we already are God’s beloved, righteous, wise, healthy, social, wealthy and responsible sons, heirs and stewards, in whom He is well pleased. And we have God’s glory in usufruct as it is written in John 17:22-23. In 1 John 4:17 we can read who we are in Christ Jesus. In John 17:22-23 and Ephesians 1:3 we can read what we have in Christ Jesus. And in 2 Corinthians 4:13 we can read about our faith to speak.

1 John 4:17

Love has been perfected among us in this; that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

John 17:22-23

And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

Ephesians 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:13

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, I believed and therefore I spoke, we also believe and therefore speak.

  1. Greetings Nelson,

This is so appropriate that I just read your article because I just started reading Joyce Meyer’s book, “Power Words”. One of the most powerful passages she shares is that in Ezekiel 37 as Ezekiel obeys the LORD and speaks to the dry bones.

Your post is definitely encouraging, uplighting and inspiring. All the best in sharing this with more souls.

    • Hello, Veronica.

Thanks for your comment Veronica and I am glad that my post was encouraging and inspiring for you.

  2. This article is so powerful. Our tounge is a double sword. It either blesses or curses. If I say “I am not smart” then I am declaring such negative thing and it turns into what I say. If I say “I am beautiful” then I am. Watch what you say people.
