Overcoming Schizophrenia

Overcoming schizophrenia

To overcome schizophrenia, you have to overcome environmental and/or genetic factors that can cause schizophrenia. To overcome the environmental factors you have to overcome the fear of condemnation, the fear of rejection or the fear of offenses. To overcome fear you can read my post about it, and to overcome offenses, you can read my post about it too.

When you have those kinds of fears nothing that you do is good enough and that’s why you can exhaust and stress yourself out with self-reproach. By doing this, you will open the door for the spirit of schizophrenia to take control over you and your life.

Schizophrenia and its characteristics

Schizophrenia is a mental illness where the way of thinking of someone will be affected. Someone with schizophrenia can’t think right due to the interruption of his thinkings process. He can’t see the difference between reality and imagination.

In most countries, 0,5% to 1% of the population has to do with schizophrenia. Most of the time it manifests itself after a lifetime of 20 years and for the medical world, it is incurable.

Consequences of schizophrenia

Most of the time the people who suffer from schizophrenia are inflexible and they often have to do with psychotic attacks due to fear of muddled thinking and chaotic thoughts. Because of their muddled thinking and chaotic thoughts, they begin to talk confusedly.

Schizophrenia is curable with God

Schizophrenia is incurable for the medical world and that’s why those people who suffer from it have to take medicine for the rest of their lives if they don’t have a trustful relationship with God.

But in Christ Jesus, you have a solution for it. You have to know and believe that Christ Jesus has taken all the symptoms of schizophrenia from you, through His stripes, at the cross. He also has given you the power to resist the spirit of schizophrenia, till he flees from you.

But to do this, you have to have faith in God’s love for us, in His gracious promises towards us, and in His gracious support to us in Christ Jesus.

Some Bible verses to renew and to stabilize your mind

In Isaiah 53:4,5 and Matthew 17:19-21 and Luke 13:11-13, we can have some words to hold on.

Isaiah 53:4,5

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed.

Matthew 17:19-21

Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, why could we not cast it out? So Jesus said to them, because of your unbelief, for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.

However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

Luke 13:11-13

And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, woman, you are loosed from your infirmity. And He laid His hand on her, and immediately she was made straight and glorified God.

Schizophrenia is a mental illness which can’t be cured by the medical world, but with God, it is curable if you know and believes what Christ Jesus has done for us through His sacrifice.
