Overcoming fear tips
Before I can share some tips to overcome fear with you, I first have to share with you what fear is. Fear is a negative kind of faith. That’s the reason that we use the acronym of fear to explain that. FEAR = False Expectations Appearing Real or False Evidence Appearing Real.
Fear is a false expectation appearing real when you think and believe that you can’t overcome something that is negative.
Fear is a false evidence appearing real when you observe something negative and you believe that you can’t overcome it.
I believe that, if you are conscious of Gods presence and of His love for you, and of His faithfulness to His word, and of the power of His almighty love for you, and if you are full of His Spirit and of His perfect love, then you have nothing to fear, because His presence and His love cast out all fear. ♥ ♥ ♥
And if you are tormented by fearful thoughts, then you have to replace those fearful thoughts with some faithful thoughts which you have to speak out loud.
You replace a thought by spoken words. You can use words such as:
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.
1 John 5:4
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.
Hi Nelson,
thank you for your wonderful words of inspiration on overcoming fear. It truly is a negative kind of faith. When I was diagnosed with cancer I found myself overwhelmed with fear. Needless to say, it didn’t help matters any. I found my way out of it through the Holy Bible. I found more peace as I read more. I now am at a better place with what Christ has dealt me. He does everything for a reason and I am at peace with it. Thank you again for your inspiration.

You are welcome Jerome.
You are welcome Jerome.
You are so right – when you focus on fear, you get more fear. But fear is not necessarily true, it just appears that way to us in the moment. Keeping you mind focused on God and His promises will fill you with strength and confidence.
“There is no fear in love” When you focus on God’s love and let that be the main thing in your life, fear has to leave. It cannot stay.
Great post! Keep up the great work!
Well said.
Hello dear
God has always been my refuge.
And He has that capacity of transforming our worse feeling to the best. It’s just about us to trust in Him and surrender ourselves to His direction.
He will give us peace and joy even when all around us says otherwise.
God is that good!
Hello,
God is good and His mercies endures forever. If we submit ourselves to Him in a spirit of dependency, then our feelings, behaviour, and gains will be fruits that He will let us bear to glorify the name of Jesus.
